The Art of Curating the Treatment Room
ever wonder how much thought goes into the planning of a space? tune in to find out!
Happy February! Today I want to talk about the importance of putting together a relaxing space for clients to be themselves in. In my room, I wanted to focus on using warm, grounding colors with soft accents and glowy lighting.
Hearing that walking into my room feels like a hug was so validating! At Suntoucher, I want each client to leave feeling like they got a nervous system reset for the price of a facial. I focused on pairing things like plants, soft textures and lighting in my design concept.
Having lived out in Colorado for nearly a decade, I wanted to use colors from the high desert. Think Grand Canyon clay, sage brush green, soft silky neutral colored sheets and air purifying greenery.
My hope is that no matter how overwhelmed someone may be coming in, they leave feeling as though a weight has been lifted.
Permission to Rest
Hi Everyone!
Anna here making my first blog post! Today I want to talk about the importance of rest and how hustle culture is overrated, exhausting and seriously dysregulating.
In today’s fast-paced world, rest has become a quiet form of resistance. Modern life often celebrates constant productivity — the “hustle” — leaving little room to pause, breathe, or simply be. Yet rest is not a luxury; it’s a biological and emotional necessity.
Rest allows the body to repair, the mind to reset, and creativity to flourish. It strengthens our immune system, balances hormones, and supports mental clarity. Beyond the physical, rest nurtures emotional resilience — giving space for reflection, connection, and self-compassion.
In a culture that equates busyness with worth, embracing rest reminds us that value isn’t measured by output. True wellness includes moments of stillness — naps, slow mornings, deep breaths, and time away from screens. By honoring rest, we reclaim balance and recognize that taking care of ourselves is not time lost, but life regained.
Many people understand the importance of a good rest but literally have no idea to go about it. Here is my suggestion- book a service whether it be a massage, facial, yoga class, or sauna session and start there. By doing this, you are committing to dropping into the present and being cared for or supported in some way. No phones, no doom piles of laundry waiting to be folded, no reason to cut things short or do anything other than what you signed up for!
🌞At Suntoucher Skinworks, everything you interact with is designed to allow your overstimulated system to reset. The lighting is soft and glowy. The music is lofi and quiet. The linens and facial towels are plush enough for even the most sensitive skin. The weighted lap blanket is ready for you should you need or want it. The room is clean, cozy and catered to those who are sensitive to fragrance. The colors are earthy, warm neutrals 🌞
Here, your only assignment is to allow yourself to be cared for! Hopefully you experience the softest landing you’ve had in ages.
Be well ya’ll! Until next time
